Sonia Draga Publishing House, based in Katowice, Poland, was founded in 2000 by Sonia Draga, its CEO and editor in chief. It quickly became one of the most recognizable publishing houses in Poland after Sonia decided to publish Dan Brown’s novels – the manuscripts of The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons were sent to her a long time before the author became a worldwide phenomenon. A similar success was achieved later by the best-selling 50 Shades of Grey series.

Apart from successful commercial writers such as Dan Brown, E L James, Charlotte Link, Chris Carter, Steve Berry and Michael Connelly, the publishing house has also released a selection of ambitious, awarded prose of Elena Ferrante, Jonathan Franzen, Patrick Modiano, Jeffrey Eugenides, Hans Fallada, Javier Marias and many others. Recently the company has acquired the rights to a number of Polish novels; one of the first authors to sign with the house was Józef Hen, the doyen of Polish literary scene. The publishing house has also released a selection of socially involved books, with the titles by Al Gore and Marcin Popkiewicz leading the way. Since 2018 non-fiction books published by Sonia Draga are released under the Post Factum imprint.

In 2016 the publishing house has started transforming into Sonia Draga Publishing Group with buying a popular children publishing house, Debit, as the starting point. Shortly afterwards Sonia established her first imprint, Młody Book, specialized in young adult literature. Non Stop Comics, with a selection of both Polish and foreign language comic books, followed soon. Currently the publishing group includes a developing chain of book stores under the name of Sonia Draga Księgarnie, with stores in Warsaw, Katowice, Chorzów and Gliwice opened so far.
